Well in the crazy fluctuating spring weather, I've usually relied on my trusty ole red rubber boots that I've had for 10 years, and although my feet stay dry, they always got cold. A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon the ultimate footware in my favorite shoe store in town. The boots are called BOGS, and claim to keep your feet warm even in -20 degrees! They are also waterproof and let your feet breathe. Sounds almost too good to be true, right? Well, I thought they would be a good investment that I would probably have the rest of my life. So, my maiden voyage with BOGS, last week it was 60 degrees and mucky, I wore them while inspecting the pussy willow situation and found that they were actually a little warm! A few days later, in the rain and about 30 degree temps, they did keep me very dry. Last night while we collected sap, it was snowing and about 12 degrees, the BOGS were just right, not too warm, not too cold! I'd say I was the luckiest gal in the muck!
