Finally, we're starting to see some bird action in the northland. Birds are finding their way through the snow flurries we had on Saturday night (and a few more on Tuesday). My friends at KAXE Northern Community Radio snapped these photos on Wednesday. Starlings are building their nests in the fish bird house that's installed at the amphitheater park right outside their building. 
How pleased I am! You see, this is one of the sculptures my friend Magda built and I decorated in mosiac with glass and mirrors. I refer to this fish as "Baked Fish".
It's a little pink on the inside and crispy brown on the edges. Note the oven dials for the eyes. And guess where this scrounger found those...you're right.... dumpster diving! Happy Spring!
