This is the time of year I wait for, when I can get out in the garden and start digging. Yes, that means sore muscles, back aches, and chigger bites. But I endure it all because it means that spring is finally here, even though we're still getting frost at night. I have extensive perennial gardens, yes, that's plural. This last holiday weekend, I spent over 30 hours in my gardens. And I'm only about half way through what I call my spring clean-up. That not only involves removing last year's dead stuff, but weeding, cleaning all the edges, adding new bark to

everything...oh, and by the way, let's just install a new brick lined pathway under the deck. I love to create outdoor rooms to relax in. That is before it gets too hot, or too many
mosquito's to be outdoors. It's nice to have a place that's quiet to reflect on the special things in life. Speaking of special things, I've always thought there was something special about seeing a rainbow. Just imagine how special it is to see a double rainbow! Recently we were visiting my parents and saw this double rainbow. It may be difficult to see on this photo, but if you look closely it's to the left of the more prominent rainbow. Happy Spring!
