Two new angels! Just finished this morning.
Introducing two sisters:
Kaxanne, Angel of Fostering and Nurturing the MN Northern Communities through KAXE
and
Kbecka, Angel of Evolving and Progressing the MN Northern Communities through KBXE
And these two little gals are truly special, because they are donated to a very special place...a place that entertains, stimulates, educates, and builds community in Northern Minnesota. I am speaking, of course, of Northern Community Radio - KAXE. If you don't listen, you have no idea what you're missing. This station is a non-profit and volunteer run, and believe me, you never know what you'll hear next! The first time I listened I heard morning show host Scott Hall interview a guy that made wine out of tent catepillars! Northern MN humor at it's best! From that point, I was hooked!
So through the year's I've donated time and energy in a variety of ways to support the station. They are now embarking on strengthening and broadening their signal by building a new sister station in Bemidji, called KBXE! To support the fund raising efforts for KBXE, I am donating these two angels, sisters - just like KAXE and KBXE to the 7th annual KAXE MISSISSIPPI RIVERFEST being held this weekend, Saturday, July 16th. This year, not only will you hear great music, but you will also have an opportunity to buy silent auction items made by KAXE members. Alas, I will miss this year's event - the first in 7 years. But I encourage you to go. Contact KAXE to purchase tickets and bring your lawn chair and cooler and enjoy great music in the Rotary tent on the Mississippi River! http://www.kaxe.org/ for more info.
