My talents seem to lie more in the design/planning area...especially this time of year I like to use my talents in GARDEN design. I believe my love of perennials was inherited from my Grandmother Joyce, a lifelong member of the Alexandria Garden Club and perennial junkie. I remember her teaching me how to weed around the flowers, as my fingers were more nimble than hers, and how I learned the names of many perennials from her. I especially remember how frustrated she was when her jack-in-the-pulpit jumped the fence into the neighbors yard and that wicked ole neighbor wouldn't give it back!
Every year I try to work on something new for my garden. This spring I stared hitting the garage sale circut (which is why I haven't been blogging as often as I'd like) to glean those poor musical instruments cast aside by their owners as no longer worthy to play.

I created a musical garden, complete with horn section, percussion and strings. I will continue to be on the lookout for things to add to my garden. I did find a keyboard, but Eddie squirreled it away in his room. That's ok, when he tires of it, I'll sneak it back to add to the garden. And if you have any old instruments laying around...I'd gladly add them to my garden!
