These are a few of my favorite things....

It's true...This is my favorite time of year, when I can spend all my time in the garden. Of course, if I'm ever going to keep those weeds at bay, I NEED to spend all my time in the garden. Previous years, I've done a quick run through in the spring, and then I'm off to another project and leave the garden to fend for itself. Well, it shows. I need to dig out and replant almost every perennial garden I have.
I have met a few amazing women along the way, antique customers actually, that inspire me to keep at this project. I hear about their tales of creating outdoor rooms and scenes that I know must be quite picturesque and lovely. If I get any pictures sent my way, I'll be sure to post them.
In the meantime, here's some progress on my gardens. I still have much to do, but between rain showers and misquito hatches, I'll keep plugging away.
My favorite little frog has been taken out of his winter storage and now resides in a hosta garden. He belonged to my grandmother Oglesby, who was my perennial garden mentor. She inspired me at a young age to grow flowers. And I realized much later in life that I actually did learn a lot about flower gardening from her. Many of my hosta plants are from my grandparents garden and have been moved from house to house, this being my 4th location to house their hostas. What a nice memory to gaze upon my little froggie among their hostas!
