What Dat?
Checkered Past? If you're wondering what or how this all began...The what part is easy to answer... it's my unique collection of all things I love, and some of it is for sale! I'm passionate about primitives and have collected antiques my entire life. I'm driven to seek out old farm pieces with early paint, original surface and simple form. And, I only buy what I love, so its true to my style!
Also, I seem to be a compulsive creator...there's always something happening in my workshop, like painted pieces aged to a fine patina. Or funky folk art items made from fabrics then grunged up a bit for a truly aged look.
Beginning in 2005, I started creating wacky angels, each with her own name and specialty. Each Angel wears a vintage baby dress or antique baptismal gown and their wings are either cut from vintage wood or are fashioned from antique porch corbels. Some have cloth wings to make them more huggable. For Easter, 2009 I just completed my 95th angel. Some I've sold and some stay with me, either in my shop or at home. But many are still looking for homes. Each angel is ready to bless you and yours. And yes, custom orders are welcome!
