This morning was -20 degrees with a windchill advisory of -35 to -40. That's a little cold to me, and even through the sun was shinning, it was still hard to think positive that spring will come. I've been watching the icicle in my kitchen window getting longer and longer every day, slowely dripping and building to the point that now it is almost below my window sill. I'm wondering how long it will get before the snow slides off my tin roof and totally destroys it. What we need is warmer days like we had last week. Those days I
had hope, and it felt like spring truly will come in a month or so...
This morning was the perfect day to pour a cup of coffee, sit in the sunshine pouring through my window and AGAIN...go through my "Simply Country Garden's" book by Judy Condon. My pages are starting to show signs of wear, and even though I've had my copy for only a few days, it opens to a few of my favorite pages. Like the page with the house in the bowl on the stump with
impatients looking like a miniture crab apple tree next to the house. How cute is that? I must make some of those little houses and sell a few in my shop. Add that to the list....Oh, and then there's the bee skeeps, I only have one left in my shop...Add that to the list to order more and make some hutches to partner with them...My spring list is starting to fill up a page or two. I know I can't be the only one dreaming of spring and making lists... I'd love to share this garden book with you, along with Judy's other country decorating books. On sale now at Checkered Past. PS: I'm open this week, Thursday through Saturday, February 10-12, 10 am to 6 pm. Come on in and let's talk spring! But dress warm!
