These boots are made for.....gardening! I found these at a garage sale and they reminded me of my grandfather's boots. What better way to jog a memory than to put it by a garden path, and each time you walk by, you see them for a gentle reminder to never forget your roots...a farmers daughter to the core... By the way, I do have an actual boot that was my grandfather's which is by my back door and I see it everyday from the house! These are the kinds of things I look for when antiquing these days, as my focus has been on working in the garden these past few months. I gave myself a goal to finally get through every bed, reorganize, weed, weed, weed...need I say more? Then after my visit with Rianna, I was even more inspired and started re-edging everything and looking at my yard in a different way - to envision how energy flows through the yard, creating scenes everywhere you look. Yes, I've got a long way to go, but I'm starting to see some payoffs and more potential for the future. So I've collected ladders, screens, buckets, bins, benches and other interesting objects that can be added to the garden that are still in my shop. Chances are if they are not sold by next spring, they'll end up in my yard somewhere, so hurry out and get them now! ;0)
