Happy New Year! It's been a while since I've thought about updating my blog...I thoroughly enjoyed Christmas, all the baking and spending time with family and friends. Now that the decorations are all put away, and we've eaten the last of the cookies...it's time to start implementing my plan for 2010! Checkered Past at home is not officially open until spring... and who knows when that will be? Hopefully the first Saturday in March...but if it's still too cold or too snowy...we'll look forward to opening the first Saturday in April. Of course, having said that...if you absolutely can't live without a visit to my cold little shop, give me a call and I will open just for you.
In the meantime, I'm busy making heart ornies which can be purchased at Up North General Store in Deer River. There are homespun hearts with rusty wire hangers, or felted wool hearts...or check out my angel ornies! And I have bouquets of hearts in old bottles for those of you that are passionate about old bottles... And, of course, if your valentine is a primitive antique lover, I have oddles of fun gift ideas you won't want to miss...So please visit Up North General Store in Deer River! Open every day from 10 to 5.
What's next? I'm working on creating Easter bunnies and adorable fabric eggs in primitive homespuns... I'll give you a sneak peek soon. In the meantime, I open you are enjoying our current warm spell and I wish you all a happy, health new year!
